Four games - at least forty-five points. Only accomplished once before in NBA history - by a moderately well-known player named Wilt Chamberlain - this feat has been achieved by Laker guard Kobe Bryant in his most recent four games (three coming after his hyped suspension).

Moreover, Bryant's 188-point total in that four-game span has only been eclipsed - twice - by Michael Jordan. In the stretch, Bryant scored 45 points against Memphis (December 28), 48 against Philadelphia (January 6), and 50 against the LA Clippers (January 7). Last night, against the lauded Indiana Pacers, Bryant scored exactly 45 and added 10 rebounds in a hard-fought 96-90 victory. Laker forward Lamar Odom crucially added 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Bryant's basket with 1:46 left in the game broke an
85-85 tie and put the Lakers ahead for good.
