Coming back off of his two-game suspension for raising
a forearm against an opponent in a game last week,
Laker guard Kobe Bryant struck back - with his game
alone this time. Bryant scored 48 points, blazing
with 21 points on three-point goals (7-7 from
three-point range), and collected 10 rebounds as the
Lakers torched the Philadelphia 76ers by 26 points,
119-93.

Bryant was all over the court, making shots and even
dishing out a couple of assists. He was supplemented
by several teammates including forward Lamar Odom (8
points, a career-high 12 assists and 7 rebounds),
guard Smush Parker (a career high of 24 points), and
center Chris Mihm (13 points and 7 rebounds).

The Lakers led the 76ers from the first quarter onward
despite 31 points from star guard Allen Iverson.
Bryant now leads Iverson by percentage points to claim
the NBA's best per-game scoring average with just over
33 points-per-game. Who will remain standing of these
two offensive machines at season's end is unclear, but
on Friday night, it was all about Kobe Bryant.
