On a night in which Laker guard Kobe Bryant was less than spectacular - still scoring 25 points, but only on 9-for-33 shooting - the Lakers didn't have enough offense against the well-balanced San Antonio Spurs.

With Lamar Odom as the Lakers' high scorer with 27 points, the Lakers were inadequate against the Spurs, who had five players score 10 or more for a 90-84 victory.

Spurs star center-forward Tim Duncan was held in relative check with 16 points, but Spur shooting guard Manu Ginobili contributed 22 points and eight rebounds.

It appears that as Bryant goes, so go the Lakers, who as a team shot just above 35%. Point guard Smush Parker added 10 points, but few other Lakers were effective.

The Lakers have Wednesday off to regroup before playing back-to-back games at Utah and at home against playoff rivals Minnesota.
